Sendtonium Klaviyo Audit — User Guide
Everything you need to connect your account, run an audit, read your results, and take action. Last updated: July 23, 2026.
What this app does
Sendtonium's Klaviyo Audit is a read-only marketing health check for ecommerce brands. After you connect Klaviyo, we analyze your flows, campaigns, segmentation, design, account health, and on-site acquisition (pop-up / embed), then return:
- An overall letter grade and score based on a 100+ point checklist
- Six category grades: Acquisition, Conversion, Design, Account Health, Segmentation, and Campaigns
- Flow quality signals, idle-flow watch-outs, and revenue insights
- Optional full audit report and a path to book a strategy call with our team
The audit typically finishes in about a minute. We never send messages from your account or change settings in Klaviyo.

How to connect your Klaviyo account and start an audit
- Go to app.sendtonium.com/audit (or install / open the app from the Klaviyo App Marketplace).
- Enter your name, email, phone (optional), store URL, and industry. Industry helps us compare campaign metrics to relevant benchmarks.
- Accept the privacy / communications consent, then click the button to connect Klaviyo.
- On Klaviyo's OAuth screen, review the read-only permissions and approve access. You can revoke this later from Klaviyo → Integrations.
- You'll be redirected to your score page. While the audit runs, you'll see a short progress view. Keep that tab open until your grade appears.
Important
Your score page is private. It requires a secure ?token= in the URL. Bookmark or save the link if you need to reopen results later. The audit UUID alone is not enough.
For a summary of permissions and how to disconnect, see Integration settings.
Understanding your audit score and category grades
Your overall score is a weighted percentage of checklist items that passed. Items marked N/A (not applicable or not observable via the API) are excluded from scoring.
- Letter grades use standard bands: A (≥90), B (≥80), C (≥70), D (≥60), F (below 60).
- Weights matter: Critical checks count more than Important or Standard items, so a few high-priority fails can pull a category grade down faster than many small ones.
- Category bars show Acquisition, Conversion, Campaigns, Design, Segmentation, and Account Health so you can see where the program is strong or leaking.
- Industry benchmarks inform campaign metric checks (opens, clicks, bounces, etc.). We match your selected industry when possible and fall back to a default benchmark set.
Below the score you'll usually see an AI summary, your biggest win, and a short list of opportunities written as answer-first next steps—not raw checklist jargon.
Reading flow quality, watch-outs, and revenue insights
Flow quality grades key automations (such as welcome, abandoned cart / checkout, browse abandonment, and winback) on setup, copy, and related performance—not merely whether a flow exists in Klaviyo.
- Chip statuses typically mean strong, needs work, weak, or missing.
- Hover or expand chips (where available) for highlights drawn from the underlying audit checks.
Idle-flow watch-outs flag live flows that sent 0 messages in the last 30 days. That often means a duplicate, a paused trigger, or a flow that looks “on” but isn’t producing revenue.
Revenue from email & SMS (when available) shows attributed channel revenue vs total store revenue for a recent window. On the full report, the mix chart marks a 20% low-water goal and a 30% goal so you can see how far attributed messaging revenue sits from healthy ecommerce benchmarks.
Sharing your report and booking a strategy call
Depending on how your audit was configured, you may see a teaser score page first, or go straight into a fuller experience. Internally, Sendtonium can generate a web audit report for screen-shares: longer narrative, expandable checklists, visual captures (pop-up, emails, campaigns), and 30-day priorities.
- Report links follow the same token security model as the score page—only people with the link (and token) can open it.
- Use the on-page booking CTA (Calendly or your configured booking URL) to schedule a strategy call. We’ll walk the priorities and help turn them into a 30-day plan.
- If you installed from Klaviyo and landed on Integration settings first, you can still start a full audit with your contact details anytime.
Permissions, data use, and privacy
Sendtonium requests read-only Klaviyo OAuth scopes (accounts, campaigns, flows, lists, metrics, profiles, segments, subscriptions, tags, and templates). We use that data to grade your program and build your score / report. We do not write to Klaviyo or send campaigns on your behalf through this integration.
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and refreshed only as needed to run audits.
- We may capture your storefront (screenshots / HTML) to grade pop-ups and embeds.
- We do not sell your information, including sensitive revenue or list-size details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
- To disconnect: open Klaviyo → Settings → Integrations (or Apps), find Sendtonium, and revoke access. That stops future API use.
Troubleshooting
- “That connection link already expired” — Often the browser hit the OAuth callback twice. If you already approved access, try returning to the score link from your session or start again from /audit.
- Audit stuck on “running” — Wait a few minutes and refresh. Large accounts or cold starts can take longer. If it never completes, email hello@sendtonium.com with your store URL.
- Score page says not found — You need the full URL including
?token=…. Ask whoever ran the audit to resend the link. - Many N/A items — Some checks aren’t available via the Klaviyo API (for example certain deliverability settings) or need a live form submit to observe. Those are reviewed on a call, not engine bugs.
- Wrong industry benchmarks — Re-run from the audit form with the closest industry option so campaign comparisons stay relevant.
